Plenty of businesses consider buying reviews when their profile looks thin next to competitors. Before you do, it’s worth understanding the rules and the risks, so you can make an informed decision.
Know the rules
Google, Trustpilot, Yelp and TripAdvisor all have content policies about fake or incentivised reviews, and can remove reviews or flag profiles that break them. In the UK, consumer protection law also covers fake reviews. Read each platform’s policies and take advice on your own situation before ordering.
How to judge a provider
- Never give anyone your login or password
- Look for paced delivery over weeks, not days
- Check what happens if reviews are removed
- Read their refund policy before you pay
- Make sure support answers before you order
Build the foundations too
